What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files, created by the website visited, that contain data. They are stored on the visitor’s computer, tablet or mobile phone to give the user access to different functions on the website. Obducat’s website uses both session cookies and non-session cookies. A session cookie is briefly stored by the device as the visitor is browsing the website. This cookie is deleted when the user closes their web browser or after a certain time has passed and the session has expired. A non-session cookie remains on the visitor’s device until it is removed.
Cookies store information on how visitors use the share function (note that this is not on an individual level) when recommending and/or sharing our content on social networks. If you do not accept cookies, no information is stored.
The website also collects IP addresses. An IP address is used to identify the visitor’s computer on the Internet. We use IP addresses for system administration.
